Wirsam Scientific attended the MSSA 2016
Wirsam Scientific and Precision Equipment attended the 54th annual MSSA (Microscopy Society of South Africa) conference from the 5th to the 8th of December 2016. The conference was hosted by the NMMU (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) at the Boardwalk Convention Centre in Port Elizabeth.
The purpose of the MSSA is to bring the microscopy community together, with time to relax while meeting up with friends and finding out what the trends are on the latest research and technological developments. Wirsam’s products represented at MSSA include: OLYMPUS microscopes (including cameras and imaging equipment), TESCANS incredible range of scanning electron microscopes (SEM), CAMECA SIMS, EPMA & 3D Atom Probe Microscopes, NanoSurf Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Cyforiva Hyperspectral imaging (VNIR and SWIR), as well as consumables from TedPella, Polysciences and TAAB.
Dr. Roland Fleck of King's College & Dr. Sarah Haigh of the University of Manchester were amongst the guest speakers.
The Conference was truly sensational, with many respected international speakers, innovative workshops, and an excellent social program!
Wirsam Scientific looks forward to MSSA 2017 which will be held at Bela-Bela.
